10:45-12:00 Devan Nambiar/RHO  “LBGTQ Senior workshop” – The workshop will provide an overview of LGBTQ history,  language/terminology, the impact of criminalization and oppression and health disparities affecting  senior LGBTQ. Audience will learn how to provide culturally competent care for LGBTQ senior including racialized LGBTQ seniors.  The workshop is a combination of didactic and interactive case scenarios.

3:00 – 3:30 Deb Stinson – ‘Intersection of Oppressions’ looking at the multiple layers of oppression (poz, race, trans, etc.) faced by an aging LGBTQ population.

3:30 – 3:45 Jai Mills from Central East LHIN’s  talks about Aging At Home Program and the CELHIN’s Culture, Diversity and Equity Report.

3:45 –  4:00 Aakilah Ade and Kimberley Covey from Joie de Vie Retirement Residence Ltd. – LGBTQ friendly residence in Pickering
